Incredible resource and book. After working through it, I feel that I’ve internalized the rhythms and music faster and more fully that I would’ve ever been able to do on my own. I couldn’t find any other resource like it, highly recommend.

I was looking for some clues on how to play Tony Allen’s afrobeat drumming , and these transcriptions are really helpful. They are clear to follow and break down the different kit elements so you can learn the pattern gradually by adding each instruments until you can play it in full. I did detect a couple of typos, though, I think, which is a shame in such a meticulous rendering: a missing notation for a hi-hat pedal here and there just threw me off and made it more difficult to follow the score than it should have been. Plus, I think some proofreading and language editing on the Intro would have been useful. But these are small things and can probably be easily corrected. All in all, many thanks to Anil for this generous and skillful labour of love.
